Attention families, from June 1 to July 31, Grand Prairie ISD will operate on a summer 😎 hours schedule.
District summer hours are:
Monday-Thursday 7:30 am-5:00 pm

Congratulations to our very own teachers, Ms. Garcia, Ms. Torres, Ms. Herrera and Ms. Perez for receiving the Teacher Incentive Allotment distinction! We are so proud of all of your hard work in the classroom ⭐️❤️

This afternoon, Grand Prairie ISD hosted the Teacher Incentive Allotment Reception for the new cohort of teachers who earned this distinction. This year, across 30 campuses, 153 teachers earned a TIA distinction. The total amount earned by this group was just over $1.7 million 💰! Forty teachers in this group received the TIA distinction previously and moved up to a higher level of recognition this year 👏 🎉 🙌. To the moms rushing through morning drop-offs,

You are the comfort after hard days,
the voice that encourages,
the hug that calms,
the example children remember forever.

At Garcia, motherhood is seen in many forms—
in classrooms, in carpools, in bedtime routines,
in sacrifices no one notices,
and in love that asks for nothing in return.

Today, we honor every mother and mother figure
who pours into the lives of children with compassion and strength.

From scraped knees to worried tummies, from big feelings to unexpected moments, Nurse Morales shows up with compassion, patience, and a calm presence that brings comfort to our entire school community. She is more than a nurse—she is a safe space, a steady hand, and a familiar smile our students and staff can count on every single day.

Thank you, Nurse Morales, for caring for our students as if they were your own, for advocating for their well-being, and for the countless ways you go above and beyond—many of which go unseen.
