We Hear You: Transportation Matters

At ILTexas, we understand that safe, reliable transportation is important to our students and families. That is why we provide targeted transportation services designed to support student access to our campuses.

We have heard your feedback and are actively evaluating opportunities to expand and enhance transportation options in select areas. As we assess future transportation needs, we encourage families to communicate directly with their campus regarding transportation interests and challenges. Your feedback helps us better understand community needs and informs future transportation planning.

While no decisions have been finalized, our team is carefully reviewing enrollment patterns, family input, and operational considerations to determine where additional support may have the greatest impact.

If transportation is an important factor in your family's enrollment decision, please contact your campus directly or email [email protected] to learn more about current transportation options and how potential future enhancements could impact your student's ability to attend ILTexas.

Student Travel Experience! Read the following testimonial from Janelle M. as she reflects on her experience participating in ILTexas summer travel opportunities and shares highlights from her journey abroad.

"Ever since I started studying in ILTexas when I was 8 years old, Chinese was something new to me. In the 10th grade my Chinese teacher, Mr. Ge, introduced to me an opportunity that I didn’t know was going to change my life forever. A trip to Taiwan. I had first signed up to travel to Taiwan as a joke, not thinking that I would get in. Even though it was a joke, I still tried my best for the essay. The moment I received an email about an admission to Taiwan, I was shocked. “How did I get in? What do I even do?” I had first thought. Eventually telling my mom the news, she was excited and proud of me, but I was still in shock. I had eventually raised enough money to benefit me for the trip. While I lived in Taiwan for a month in total, I realized how much fun it actually was. By the time the trip had finished, I really wanted to go back. I met so many friends, did so many things, it made me sad. Soon enough, I went back to Taiwan a second time in July 2025. I do not know how, but I eventually got accepted the second time. Compared to my last visit from a year ago, I believe I learned a lot more than I did last time. I got to speak more, engage more, and I could even write in Chinese. I got to know more friends, have fun, go shopping, eat many different foods of their culture, speak Chinese, write Chinese, walk the mountains, learn the culture, visit museums and monuments, experience college life, live in a dorm, make food and treats, drink boba tea, meet the locals, ask for directions, ride the bus, walk in Taipei. There are so many memories to make. By the time the trip had finished again, I couldn't stop crying for a week. Despite traveling to Taiwan during the summer of June to July 2024 and 2025, I learned a valuable lesson. While learning this language in a class at my school, it did help me understand vocabulary, but traveling in person is a whole new level. Most phrases and expressions that people use in the country are often overlooked in the classroom setting. I wanted to experience the language that is truly spoken. Which is why I chose to put myself out there, to immerse myself in this program. One thing for sure, if an opportunity is in front of you, take it."

We were excited to welcome students and families from the ILTexas Lancaster-DeSoto High School community to AGPHS during a special Consolidation Tour Open House today.

Throughout the event, families had the opportunity to tour the campus, meet staff and students, and learn more about the programs and opportunities available at AGPHS. Charter members, AGPHS staff, and student leaders were on hand to answer questions, share their experiences, and help families feel at home.

Families also had the opportunity to hear from Superintendent Mr. Conger, their former principal at Lancaster-DeSoto High School (Dr. Arenas), as well as their new principal, Dr. Henry, who shared information about the transition and the opportunities available to students at AGPHS.

Students and families learned about the many programs available on campus, including expanded CTE pathways, MCJROTC, fine arts, athletics, student organizations, leadership programs, and a wide variety of academic courses designed to help students explore their interests and prepare for future success.

We are excited to welcome students who are committed to remaining with the Eagle family and look forward to the connections, experiences, and achievements to come.

Thank you to all Eagle students and families for continuing to trust ILTexas with your education!

Does ILTexas offer sports? Absolutely!

At ILTexas, athletics are an important part of the student experience and provide opportunities for students to grow both on and off the field. Students can participate in a variety of sports while developing teamwork, discipline, leadership, and school pride.

At AGPHS, our student athletes balance academics with competition and represent our campus through programs including volleyball, basketball, soccer, baseball, softball, track and field, cross country and flag football.

What makes ILTexas unique is that students are able to participate in athletics while also experiencing our trilingual model and leadership-focused culture. Athletics at ILTexas help students strengthen not only their physical abilities, but also their character and commitment to serving others.

Go Eagles!

At ILTexas, “Others Before Self” is more than a motto. It is reflected in the way our campus leaders show up for students, staff, and families each day.
This can look like greeting students in the morning, attending student events after school hours, supporting teachers in classrooms, celebrating student achievements, creating opportunities for leadership and involvement, helping families navigate challenges, or stepping in wherever support is needed. It also means making decisions with student growth, character, and future success at the center.
Many of these moments are not always seen, but they help create the culture that makes our campus community strong. Through their actions, our leaders show students that leadership starts with putting others first.

Introducing Eagle Voices!

Every Eagle has a story, and this series is all about sharing them and how AGPHS has impacted them!

"In my experiences, leadership based on the principle of “Others Before Self” has played a fundamental role in the development of my relationships with others, helping me understand different perspectives. Model UN at ILTexas has not only helped me build upon these experiences, but also understand the significance of different cultures internationally and take a multilateral approach towards enhancing opportunities for all. In addition, I have acknowledged the effort it takes to promote diplomacy, but I've also learned that a diverse solution is far more effective than a uniformed one. For these reasons, I have developed to be a strong leader hopeful with new challenges to take on." - Justin C. (Class of 2027)
