This is Sable Falls in Pictured Rocks National Lake Shore. This shot is right on the trail, on a wooden foot path with a ton of tourists walking around. Nate waited about 15 minutes to shoot it so the light would move a little more to the right. He says - "I was only able to shoot about a second before blowing out the highlights. I actually shot a darker exposure for the brightest trees and blended the two photos." Shot on the R5 + RF15-35mm w/ tripod. Exposure: 1 second, f22, ISO 100.

Anytime I travel - I try to always include at least one sunrise shoot. It requires a bit of planning - weather/location/etc. - but it typically happens the last day before I catch my flight home. It’s almost always worth it. - This shot of the moon was taken at Garden of the gods on the way back to the car. It ended up being one of my favorites of the day. — Let’s see your favorite sunrise photo that you’ve taken…tag us in the comments of the photo & we will repost them.

Let's get this next issue of Le Grif & The Exploits jam-packed. The theme is Winter Blues - The deadline is Dec. 15th! Get your submissions in!

The next issue of Le Grif & The Exploits will be coming out in January of 2022!!!!!
Theme: Winter and Blues
Deadline: December 15, 2021
This issue will live under the theme of Winter and Blues, but please don’t let it hold you back. What does this mean to you? What does the season do for you? Is there a memory tied to the color blue? Or a person? A feeling? These are just jumping off points in case anyone needs it. Feel free to get creative!
Use your own experience, perspective and exploit yourself. Feel safe to submit while also being mindful. We don’t need to further damage people. And we don’t use other’s pain for our purpose.
Short poems, flash, doodles, and photos that can easily fit into a 2.75” x 4.25” square or a 5.50” x 4.25” square. You don’t have to worry about making sure it fits or format to submit, just keep the sizes in mind.
No racism, sexism, homophobia, etc. allowed. No overly graphic or violent content. Shock value does not equal good writing.
The issues will be sold at different events. Profits are split evenly between whoever is involved. Those accepted will also receive a few copies to sell themselves, as well as a saved PDF.

Thank you to everyone that came out to Nate Geo]’s workshop with ! Word on the street is that you all got perfect weather. Please tag us if you have any photos - we would love to see them. When taking long exposures - we need
to prevent blurry images that are caused
by pressing the shutter button. - This can happen even when using a tripod!
Luckily - several solutions exist...
-A remote that is compatible w/ your camera.
-Utilize your camera's WiFi function.
-Set your camera up for a self-timer - w/ a delay of 2+ seconds -long exposure won't be started until 2 seconds after you push the shutter button! Message us if you have a question or need help finding your local camera store to support!
