5,783 Days.
October 29th 2008 I came out of the delivery room at maximum stress level to explain that big dude was here but was pretty beat up because he is a monster sized baby. My dad being the optimist that Jeff Cadwell is grabbed ahold of me with the strongest arms and says “well good because if my math is right these two can play on the same line together”. If you’ve had the opportunity to share a cold Coors Light with him, there’s a pretty solid chance that you’ve heard of his grandsons playing Grand Ledge Football and that this night would eventually be here. He stood on that statement for 5,783 days, even over the last two years of kicking cancer in the face. Both Logan Cadwelland Lucas Cadwell have been dedicated to the program since fifth grade year round. It took a village of influence and direction to be possible but here we are 5,783 days later on a field that we built. I am so humbled to be their father yet so proud that I could just scream! Logan’s first game of his senior year and Lucas’s first snap in the big leagues. Enjoy this boys, I know I will.
And for gods sake protect each other out there because your mother is as proud but I can only imagine her anxiety. Love you all!

We often hear customers say “That’s a lot of money to fuse a couple sticks of pipe!”.
What does it cost a contractor to coordinate three subs? What does it cost a contractor to mobilize the support equipment that is required? How about the cost of that operator and labor? Did they tear up that man’s field? Did they cover the pipe ends or can you expect a call from your inspector? I’m sure that they raked up any pipe shavings left from the process.
MPP offers a great deal of value add options to our partners looking for real solutions. Today Hamlin Farms of Webberville MI utilized these options and the result was a clean and complete solution for their highway crossing.

Today I learned that a roughneck in Oklahoma can make $80,000 in his first year on the job, working just six months. Some of the guys I talked to use that extra time to freelance in other trades. Plumbing, electric, HVAC…the need is there, and the opportunities are endless. It’s not a cakewalk – that’s for sure. The shifts are long, the work is physical, and while I was there, the temperature ranged from 29 degrees and blustery, to 85 and sweaty. But I don’t think the guys at Gore Nitrogen and Red Bluff Resources care. Honestly, I think they kinda like it…
Thank you gentlemen, for your hospitality.
