Congratulations to our GLES 2nd graders and their teachers! The 2nd grade students passed the most AR tests during the 1st 9 weeks of school! 2nd grade students meeting their AR goals will receive an AR party! As a special surprise to our 2nd grade teachers, Mr. Ronald and Ms. Angie Nunez with T-Boys Cajun Foods donated $50 gift cards to EACH of our 2nd grade teachers. 🎲 Rolling Into Multiplication in 4th Grade! ✖️

Students in Mrs. Amber’s 4th grade math class put their multiplication skills to the test with a fun double-dice activity!

During a 15-minute challenge, students rolled the dice, wrote each multiplication problem, and solved it before rolling again. Some students completed as many as 151 multiplication facts in just 15 minutes! 👏

What a fun way to build multiplication fluency, accuracy, and confidence while keeping students actively engaged in learning!

Way to go, 4th grade! 🐝🎉

🐾🌈 Mission Accomplished… The Animals Are FREE! 🦁🐒🐘

Our second graders put their math skills to the test with a fun “Escape the Maze” challenge! Their mission was to help the animals escape from the Rainbow Zoo and return safely to the wilderness!

Using skills learned throughout Module 1, students worked together to solve problems involving addition, subtraction, measurement, and place value. Each correct answer brought them one step closer to freeing the animals!

What a fun way to review math skills while building teamwork, problem-solving skills, and perseverance! 👏

Way to go, second grade! Mission accomplished! 🎉

🌎 Exploring North America!

Second grade wrapped up their North America: Geography and Environment unit with a group research project and presentation! Students worked together to research what they learned, organize their ideas, and share their knowledge with their classmates.

We love seeing our students learn, collaborate, and confidently share what they know! ❤️📚
