CMU Tech is an open-admission, comprehensive community college providing higher education instruction for academic transfer programs and career technical programs. CMU Tech offers a variety of certificate programs that can be completed in nine months, associate degree programs that average two years in length, and many skills courses for career upgrade. Congratulations to CMU Tech instructor Jarom Hullinger, recipient of the May 2026 Human Scale University Champion Award.

Jarom was recognized by the Colorado Mesa University Board of Trustees for his leadership, resilience, and commitment to student success within CMU Tech’s Electric Lineworker program. After stepping into a leadership role during a difficult time for the program, Jarom helped ensure students continued receiving a high-quality educational experience while supporting colleagues, industry partners, and the broader CMU Tech community.

His dedication to mentoring students and preserving excellence within technical education reflects the values that define Colorado Mesa University and CMU Tech.
