La directora de orquesta Glass Marcano (), se convirtió el 30 de junio en la primera venezolana en dirigir la Filarmónica de Bruselas. El concierto tuvo lugar en el estudio cuatro del Flagey, en Bélgica, adonde acudieron 900 personas aproximadamente.

Nacida en San Felipe, estado Yaracuy, Glass Marcano estuvo a cargo de la Filarmónica de Bruselas durante la interpretación de la Quinta Sinfonía del compositor ruso Piotr Ilich Tchaikovsky, compuesta en 1888.
