High Desert Carbon Works Hi....I am Erling Brabaek, and this is an educational page that gives you the insight of the Composite world, and a peek into the projects I have.

Feel free to post questions in the comments section under each picture if it is project specific. This page is created to help anyone that want to try carbon fiber layup, but is intimidated to get started. I have posted on two public forums ( Thumpertalk.com, and Advrider.com) and find that it is hard to only post there as they are bike specific, and I create many more pieces. So hop on board, and enjoy the ride.

A blast from the past. Have the privilege to once again to make a heat shield for the DRZ400 MRD super pipe. Stay tuned. Cast starts in the next day of two.

Hola Amiga's y Amigo's. I apologize for the long time it has been since last upload, but I have not really made anything interesting. This time, however it was a complete Cajon drum kit with Carbon fiber sound board that was on the menu. Most of the work was bending wood but thought I would feature it in here as well. Final product here:
