Tried the GDCH and it failed within 100 rounds. Screws began backing out and locked up. Gouged my lower.

0 for 3 in my GDCH experiences. 2 from students fell apart with very little use.

One of the most important lessons I've learned as a marksmanship instructor is that you have to practice what you teach. Being on the range and competing isn’t just about winning, it's about proving to myself that the techniques and fundamentals I share really work.

Every time I compete, I see firsthand what helps me improve my own hard skills. Being able to maintain steady focus under pressure and execute these skills at speed is vital to me. These experiences not only sharpen my abilities but also give me real insights that I can share with my students. It’s a reminder that good teaching comes from doing the work yourself.

For me, competing is an extension of training. It keeps me honest about my abilities and pushes me to continue learning and growing. When I step into that arena, I’m not just an instructor, I’m a student too. And that makes all the difference.

Master your precision gas gun in this 2-day course at Volusia County Gun Club! Instructors Ryan D'Agostino (Emissary Consulting) and Scott Peterson (Veracity Solutions) will guide you through the fundamentals of long-range shooting, from 100 to 800 yards and beyond. Focus will be on large frame gas guns like the AR-10, SR-25, and SCAR-17, but the principles apply to all platforms. · Precision Gas Gun with 2 magazines and a 100 yard zero (1.25 MOA or better recommended)
· Magnified optic (10x or higher with MIL reticle) *NO BDC reticles*
· Bipod
· Support bag (Gamechanger, sand sock, etc)
· 250 rounds of match ammunition – (No AP/Steel core – Recommended AAC, FGMM, Hornady Match, Berger, Handloads etc)
· Note taking gear (pen, pencil, notepad, rite in the rain notebook etc)
· Ballistic Solver (Kestrel, iOS/Android App ie Applied Ballistics, Hornady 4DOF, Shooter etc)
· Eye/Hearing Protection & Personal First Aid (Tylenol, Band Aids, etc)

Another DPB and Atlas-R hub I picked up for my RD-15 / R30K. Ever since told me about these I've put them on 4 different cans and 7 rifles now.

I've been extremely impressed with their quality and have had zero issues with cans carbon locking on my gas guns.
