New Dimensions Grand Junction

Join our 500-piece puzzle tournament from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, June 13 at the Gateway Branch Library for team teams up to 6 people. Not competing? Bring a puzzle and swap it with others. Enjoy a light snack or help kids complete a puzzle craft. First come, first served. All ages welcome.

Join us from noon–1 p.m. Thursday, June 18, at Central Library to explore the Red Mountain Mining District and learn how the narrow-gauge Silverton train overcame steep grades, sharp curves, and 11,000-foot passes to reach and serve remote mining communities. Seating is first-come, first-served.

Treat yourself to a picnic and some stargazing! At this point in time skies are predicted to be clear.

Colorado National Monument Public Viewing Night and Star Party
Join the Western Colorado Astronomy Club for a public night and “star party.” Bring your binoculars and telescope if you have them. Club volunteers will share their equipment and expertise on the night skies.

The social is a casual event with light refreshments and a short program recapping the term – plus lots of opportunity to interact with instructors, volunteers and fellow students. No RSVP is necessary. Hope to see you there!
