A client today told me she loves how she feels after our sessions because she gets to be her authentic self with me.
And I thought… what a profound human need that is, to have a space where you don't have to pretend to have it all together, or hold yourself back, or worry about what someone is thinking about you.
To have a place where you don't have to be good, or strong, or spiritual, or s*xy, or someone who has it all figured out.
Isn't is a relief to reveal the the messy parts, the contradictory parts, the hungry parts, the scared parts, the parts of you that you're still trying to understand?
Just to let all of you out for some air?
I think there is something deeply soul-nourishing about being in the presence of another human being and realizing, "I don't have to abbreviate myself here."
That's part of what intimacy really is—not simply being loved, but experiencing that astonishing freedom of being known, warts and all.
It made me wonder:
Where in your life do you feel most entirely yourself?
Who are you with?
Where are you?
And what is it about that space that lets your whole self come home?
I'd genuinely love to hear. ❤️

Over the years, my yoni has become far more than a part of my se*uality. It may sound unusual until you experience it for yourself, but she has become an anchor of my truth—a quiet place where wisdom rises more easily than it ever does in the noise of everyday life.
I wrote about that journey in this week's blog, including the not-so-glamorous story of my very first yoni steam... involving a toilet and a mini crock!
If you've ever wondered why I choose to steam every Full Moon, I'd love to share my story. And if yoni steaming calls to you, sister, I'd be honored to help you get started.

Dakini Leah, here.
Today, the air across our state is brown with smoke. My heart is heavy. Like so many Coloradans, I'm watching our beautiful state burn, and now flash floods threaten the very burn scars left behind. It's almost surreal.
There is a Ta**ra to this heartbreaking time. One of the biggest misconceptions about Ta**ra is that it's all about s*x. It isn't. At its heart, Ta**ra is about intimacy with reality.
When life is painful, Ta**ra invites us to become intimate with pain—not because we enjoy suffering, but because we flow with what is true.
Right now, Colorado isn't making love. Colorado is breathing smoke. We're grieving the loss of forests, homes, livelihoods, security, and places we love. Some of us have not been outside in over a month because of the smoke. Others of us are enduring unspeakable loss.
Today, I want to pause and speak the names of three Colorado firefighters who gave everything in service to the rest of us:
Emily Barker
Nick Hutcherson
Sydney Watson
May we remember them with gratitude. Thank you to every firefighter, pilot, dispatcher, EMT, law enforcement officer, volunteer, and neighbor who continues to show up with extraordinary courage.
If you're wondering what you can possibly do from where you are, I have two ideas.
First, as a Ta**ra teacher, I know that where we place our attention matters.
Today, after you have felt everything you can feel about the fires, go one step further: feel into what is wanted.
Use all your senses. Taste gentle raindrops on your tongue—cool, cleansing, and refreshing. Feel a quiet, cool, windless rain falling through the dark. Smell wet earth and petrichor. Feel the sigh of relief from trees, animals, firefighters, and communities that have been holding their breath.
This, too, is sensuality. Not escaping reality, but allowing our bodies to remember what relief and safety feel like.
Second, while we wait for the rains, now is the time for kindness. Maybe call someone you love, or have a coffee with a few friends. Perhaps choose extra patience in the grocery store or in traffic. You might check in on an elderly neighbor. Every small kindness matters while so many of us are living on alert.
Today, my practice isn't about ecstasy with a lover. It's about standing with this land I love and whispering:
*"I belong to this Earth. I suffer when she suffers. And I will keep choosing love while she heals."*
May we care for one another with tenderness until the skies are clear again. ❤️
Here's the AL generated image when I asked for "Leah enjoying a dark, quiet rain." It isn't terrible!

Where do women over 50 go to tell the truth about s*x?
The grief.
The longings.
The celebrations.
The confusion.
The desires we quietly hope aren’t “too much.”
After hearing from multiple women who longed for a safe place to speak openly about s*xuality, I created something sacred: the Erotic Wisdom Salon.
I just wrote a deeply personal blog about why every honest woman over 50 needs a space like this. If you’ve ever felt alone in your sensuality, I'm betting you may want to join us.

UPDATE: 1 Spot left! We're calling this the Erotic Wisdom Salon, and it has nearly filled up over night. Do you want to be a part? See the comments for the application. There will be a waitlist, and I will create another event series if needed so no one is left out.
3/30/26 Grand valley sisters, I've had two ladies approach me to express an interest in having a safe group of women to talk about s/x and relationships: s/x during menopause, past loves, happy moments, confusing experiences, and everything in between. If this is something you are interested in, too, message me.
