Recovered from a series back in 2018, I learn a little bit about one of the most recognizable buildings in downtown Grand Junction, Colorado. Curator of Museums of Western Colorado, David Bailey gives me a brief background on this beautiful building first erected in 1908. Hard to stomach now, in 2024, the entire build cost for this beautiful multi story building was a mere $4,400 back then. At the time of filming in 2018, this building was assessed at $300,000 and is worth even more now.

In my pettiness, I’ve found that it’s a time honored favorite habit of mine to build a golden bridge for my enemies to retreat upon
