We would like to thank the representatives of the Mesa County Sheriff's Office Crime Scene Investigations Unit and Dufford Waldeck Law Office for their support of our Middle School Competition Day.

Mr. Mendoza and Ms. Heather were recognized as Golden Apple winners for their outstanding work within their Kindergarten classroom. What an amazing team.

Today IACS staff were presented with their 3rd consecutive Performance School banner by Dr. Brian Hill, D51 superintendent. The performance rating is the highest rating in the state of Colorado that a school can receive. Congratulations to the staff and students for all of your hard work and dedication and showing what it truly means to be a Phoenix.

IACS follows D51 protocol for inclement weather. If they call for a closure or delay, we will do the same.

Our Phoenix Family will be hosting our holiday store for students to purchase from December 8th-11th. Check your email for the specific date your student's class will be getting to go to the holiday store. Students get to choose their own special gifts for family and friends, and volunteers will be available to help younger grades find the perfect gifts within their budget. There will be a large variety of gifts that students can look at online beforehand at schoolgiftshops.com. An envelope will be provided for the students to bring their money to school. You can help them decide who they should buy for and how much they should spend. There is also an option to purchase a gift card voucher for your student.

Come to the IACS commons (main building) on Thursday, December 4th for a fun night of painting ornaments with your family and Fat Cat Pottery!

Ornaments are $12 + tax with card or cash. We hope to see you there!

Several of our young artists are finalists in the I VOTED sticker contest here in Mesa County! Each person can vote once in each category—elementary, middle school, and high school.

In the middle school category, our students earned 7 of the 9 finalist spots! Our elementary students also have several finalist spots! This is very exciting news!

For the recent middle school build day, the Mesa County Sheriff's Office Investigation Team spent the day mentoring and teaching our students how a crime scene and correlating evidence is collected and processed. This hands-on learning collaboration taught so much and the students had so much fun. Thank you for partnering with us and teaching us!
