Meet ambassador Avery!

Avery is a sophomore studying nursing from Littleton, Colorado. She decided to attend CMU because of the community of driven people who support and challenge her to pursue hard things, and all the opportunities that are available to students! So far, her favorite part of being an ambassador is helping students during New Mav Days!

Audyn is a junior studying biology all the way from Port Washington, Wisconsin. She decided to attend CMU because of the strong sense of community, variety of paths there are to take, and all the opportunities to thrive! From inflating paddle boards, to competing in scavenger hunts, our team of ambassadors proved they can lead in and out of the office! Between the card games, lake days, and late night story telling, this group turned camping into the ultimate team-bonding adventure! Calling Ambassador Alums!πŸŽ“ The CMU Admissions Office is looking for local alums in Grand Junction who are willing to volunteer their time to help lead a Real Talk session at New Mav Days next Saturday, August 15.

Real Talk is a required session for all new students to cover important topics such as Title IX, consent and other essential matters. There will be a training session on Monday, August 11, for everyone leading a Real Talk session.

Introducing Class of 2025 Graduate, Matt! πŸŽ“

Matt is graduating with his Bachelors of Arts in English. After graduation, he plans to attend graduate school at Denver University to get a Masters of Arts in English Literary Arts: Literary Studies. πŸ–Š

Throughout his time at CMU he has been heavily involved in the student newspaper, The Criterion. Matt served as both the Managing Editor and Editor-In-Chief. πŸ‘”

His favorite college memory would be, "Winning a faculty pickleball tournament with the English department (I pretended to be a prof)". πŸ“

Matt, your energy lights up a room! You are caring, hilarious, and an amazing friend and teammate! Oh the places you will go! 🎈⚑

Introducing Class of 2025 graduating senior, Katie! πŸ‘©β€πŸŽ“

Katie is from Littleton, CO graduating with a Bachelors of Exercise Science. Her plans after graduation include attending the Doctorate of Physical Therapy Program here at CMU! πŸ‹οΈβ€β™€οΈ

Katie was a girl on the run during her time here at CMU- within the ambassador program, she held the Mesa Experience Coordinator and Assistant Mesa Experience Coordinator positions. Outside of the ambassador program, she was involved with the Gamma Phi Beta sorority, serving as Chapter President, New Member Educator, Recording Secretary, and Panhellenic Vice President. She also co-founded the Mesa Run Club! πŸ₯‡πŸƒβ€β™€οΈ

Her favorite college memory would be: "meeting all the people in my life who have become such influential people during my college career. Then, I had no idea what kind of impact they would have, and now I can't imagine my life without them!" πŸ‘­

Introducing Class of 2025 senior, Angela! πŸ‘©β€πŸŽ“

Angela is from Lakewood, CO and is graduating with
her BBA in Finance and Hospitality Management. πŸ’Έ
Her plans after college include getting married soon
after graduation (yay!!!), and moving to Phoenix to
pursue ministry. πŸ’πŸŒ΅

Angela has had an impact of the ambassador program
and our campus- during her time in the ambassador
program, she served as the Coordinator of Leadership
Development, a role that has now been absorbed into
the Vice President! She also worked for the Program
Activities Council and got to help plan events like the
spring concert among others! πŸ’ƒ

Her favorite college memory would be: "Floating the
Colorado River for the first time on a warm day in
August! We spent the whole day relaxing and soaking
in the beauty of Grand Junction! Some other fun
memories have been seeing Flo Rida in concert,
snowshoeing on the Mesa, hiking Mt Garfield, going to
wine fest in Palisade, the ambassador retreat, and
getting to meet so many lifelong friends." β›ΊπŸ‚

Angela, you are beautiful, powerful, and a kind friend.
Oh the places you will go! We will miss you so dearly.
