If your student is attending OMMS on a transfer status (your address lies outside of OMMS school boundary) your student does not automatically stay enrolled at OMMS because a transfer is valid for the remainder of that school year. At the end of this school year, your child will be re-enrolled in their home-area school according to where you live.

Please Refer to JCA/JFBB-R section 4.

Transfer requests are valid for one (1) academic school year. At the end of each academic school year students on transfers will be automatically returned to their attendance area school for the next school year. A new request must be completed for each year in order for the student to continue at that school. Transfer students may apply for School of Choice for the next school year according to the School of Choice process.

With this in mind, if you would like the opportunity for your child to stay at OMMS, you will need to submit a School of Choice application.

Applications will be available via your ParentVue account, Starting March 18, 2021 at 10:00 a.m Thru March 19,2021 at 4:00 p.m. Applications are considered in the order in which they are submitted. It is very important to submit your application as close to the opening of this process as possible.

If you do not have a ParentVue account or have forgotten your login information, please contact the school prior to March 8th so you will be ready to log in when the window opens.

School District 51 winter break food giveaway 12/16/2020

Holiday Meal Pack distribution at OMMS will be Friday December 18th from 2:45-3:30. Nutrition services will be out front during pick up to distribute packs curbside. OMMS will have 100 packs available. Please reach out if you have any questions!

School District 51 winter break food giveaway Earlier this year the USDA announced that all kids in public schools, whether they qualified for it or not would receive free meals through the pandemic.

Thank you all for a great first day of remote learning! There were some technical difficulties throughout the day but overall a really great start. Just a reminder that tomorrow we will start the day at 9:00am with 1st period. Attendance is taken for each class and students are required to attend. Parents must call the attendance office for absences. Thank you so much for your support!

Dear OMMS Families,

As you have heard, we have had to make the decision to go to remote learning for the week of November 16 - 20, 2020. Students will not be in attendance at our building. Starting Tuesday November 17, 2020 students will be in remote learning through November 20, 2020. Staff will be getting things finalized on Monday so students will not be in attendance online Monday November 16th. This will NOT be the same as the emergency learning that occurred in the 4th quarter last year! Students will be required to join classes daily during the scheduled time and attendance will be taken. Students have been practicing using Schoology and Google Meets so they should be ready to go. Students are expected to follow the schedule pictured below. Please note, the schedule for Wed/Friday is a little different than Tuesday/Thursday. Again, we are disappointed this had to happen. We are grateful to you for working with us to support your student during this time. Please feel free to contact the school with any questions, comments, or concerns. As always, thank you for allowing us to work with your student each day.
