If you're new here, this is **Outdoorsy Skincare. 🌿**

We believe skincare is about more than what you put on your face.

Our mission is to **promote God’s design for whole-person health through skin wellness.**

That’s why we created the **FLOW Framework:**

🌿 **F — Food**
Nourish the body and skin from within.

🌿 **L — Lifestyle**
Rest, movement, faith, relationships and the everyday habits that support whole-person health.

🌿 **O — Outside Care**
Simple, thoughtfully formulated, plant-based skincare for skin exposed to everyday life and the elements.

💧 **W — Water**
Support hydration from the inside and outside.

We create for **everyday active people — especially women — whose skin meets real life every day:** sun, wind, dry air, changing seasons, gardening, walking, working, exercising, traveling and everything in between.

Our Christian faith isn't something we hide.

We believe our bodies were wonderfully designed by God, and caring for them is an act of stewardship not vanity.

You don't have to share our faith to be welcomed here. ❤️

**Rooted in nature. Grounded in faith. Made with purpose.**

Welcome to Outdoorsy Skincare.

🌿 Save this post if whole-person skin wellness resonates with you — and follow along as we explore healthy skin through FLOW.

Maybe you needed this reminder today. 🤍

We live in a world that celebrates doing more, achieving more, producing more—and sometimes even our “wellness” becomes another list of things we have to accomplish.

But God designed a different rhythm.

Six days—and then rest.

Sabbath reminds me that whole-person health isn’t only about what we eat, how much water we drink, how we move our bodies, or what we put on our skin.

Sometimes wellness looks like stopping.

Putting down the work that can wait.
Being present with the people we love.
Stepping outside and noticing creation.
Worshiping.
Breathing.
Resting without feeling guilty about it.

That’s why Sabbath and rest belong in the L — Lifestyle part of our FLOW framework. 🌿

Because God didn’t design us for endless productivity.

He designed us with a rhythm.

“The Sabbath was made for man…” — Mark 2:27

Happy Sabbath. 🤍

If someone you love has been carrying too much lately, share this with them. Maybe today they need permission to put it down and rest.

It's always rewarding when you get to educate customers about skin wellness and natural skincare. Bonus if there is fun like a little bit of pretty face painting by Michelle Barragan, good music and lovely ambiance. Grateful to be part of such events

You've tried the serums. The routine. Maybe even cut out sugar for a week. And your skin still looks tired.

Here's what almost nobody tells you: dull, flat skin, slow-healing spots, breakouts along the jawline — these aren't always a product problem. Your skin is a mirror. An imbalanced gut can mean systemic inflammation, and inflammation visibly shows up as dullness, congestion, and uneven-looking skin.

As a former lab scientist, I've seen this pattern over and over — women doing everything "right" on the outside while missing the piece that actually moves the needle from the inside.

So here's the plan. Four things that visibly support radiant-looking skin, straight from your plate:

Healthy fats — avocado, olive oil, nuts — support your skin's own natural barrier.
Fermented foods — kefir, sauerkraut — feed the gut bacteria that help keep inflammation in check.
Antioxidant-rich produce — berries, leafy greens — support your skin's natural resilience.
Water-rich foods — cucumber, watermelon — add hydration from the inside, not just from your water bottle.

Skincare and nutrition were never separate. What's on your plate shows up on your face just as much as what's in your serum.

Skincare is health care. It's all in your FLOW. 🌿

Can we talk about something for a second? Every month there's a new "must-have" serum, a new active everyone says you need, a new step to add to your routine. And somehow, after all that adding, skin doesn't look any different.

I think that's the actual problem. More products doesn't mean better skin — it just means more chances for things to irritate each other, cancel each other out, or sit there doing nothing at all.

Here's what skin actually needs: Cleanse, Tone, Nourish, Protect. That's it. That's the whole outside-care piece of FLOW.

If your skin looks dull no matter what you try, it's probably not asking for another product. It's asking you to check your FLOW.

Skincare is health care. 🌿

POV: The best part of having a food forest 🌿

Some mornings, I step outside and realize just how much this little ecosystem gives back.

☀️ Restorative mornings surrounded by green
🫐 Snacks harvested straight from the garden
🌿 A walk through my own “plant aisle”
🧴 Herbs I can harvest for my skincare creations
🥬 Fresh ingredients that become actual groceries
🐦 Birds singing while I work

And then there’s the part nobody puts in the dreamy garden videos… 😂

The FREE workout.

Weeding. Planting. Pruning. Hauling. Watering. Trimming. Harvesting.

And somehow, the weeds are always one step ahead.

A food forest is beautiful, but it definitely isn’t effortless. It takes time, patience, sweat, and a whole lot of consistent work.

But the return on that investment?

Food. Herbs. Movement. Time outside. Ingredients for my products. A place to slow down. And the simple joy of watching something you planted grow and give back.

For me, that’s what makes all the work worth it. 🌿

Grow it. Harvest it. Use it. Live it.

What would be YOUR favorite part of having a food forest? 👇

Your body was never designed to run without rest. 🌿

We live in a world that celebrates busy.
More productivity. More goals. More doing.

But God’s design includes something the world often tells us to skip: rest.

Rest isn’t wasted time.
It’s part of caring for the body God has entrusted to us.

Sometimes the healthiest thing you can do is stop, breathe, step away from the noise, spend time with God, and simply be.

“Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” — Matthew 11:28

This is why Lifestyle is part of our FLOW Framework. Healthy skin and whole-person wellness aren’t only about what we put on our skin—they’re also shaped by how we live.

Food • Lifestyle • Outside Care • Water

This Sabbath, give yourself permission to rest. 🤍
