The backpacks are packed,
the new shoes are near,
Tomorrow’s the day,
a new school year is here!
There might be some wiggles,
some butterflies too,
Some “What if I can’t?”
and some “What will we do?”
But classrooms are waiting,
with spaces for you,
For questions and laughter
and friendships brand new.
You don’t have to know it.
You don’t have to be sure.
Just walk through those doors,
we’ll figure out more.
So snuggle in tight,
let your big worries go.
Tomorrow is waiting,
and you’re ready to grow.
