May is here, and with it comes a brand-new theme in our classroom!

Our dramatic play area has been transformed into a bustling farmer’s market where students are busy washing and sorting fruits and vegetables, selling produce to customers, and planting seeds in our garden. It’s been so fun to watch their imaginations grow as they explore how food is grown, shared, and enjoyed.

Our sensory bin has also taken on a fresh farm theme, giving students hands-on opportunities for discovery and play, and our library is filled with farm books to keep curiosity growing all month long.

We’re loving all the hands-on learning this farm-fresh month brings! 🌱🚜

Last week, our preschoolers headed out on a field trip to Kelkenberg Farm to learn all about farm animalsβ€”what a perfect introduction to our May farm theme!

Our students loved exploring the farm, petting the new spring babies, trying their hand at milking a goat, and even riding ponies. It was such a fun and memorable experience for both our students and their families! πŸ’›

We are so grateful for the care, patience, and love you bring to our classroom every single day. You create a warm and welcoming space where our preschoolers feel safe, supported, and excited to learn.

Thank you to Mrs. Booker from Eco Island for visiting our classes and teaching us all about insects! πŸ¦‹πŸπŸž

The students loved getting an up-close look at different insects and learning more about them through stories and discussion. Afterward, they had fun cutting and sorting pictures into groups of insects and non-insects.

Such a fun and engaging learning experience for our preschoolers!

Our preschoolers celebrated with fun, hands-on activities and a cleanup! They made a tear-and-glue Earth project. This helped build hand strength, coordination, and focus. They also created adorable Earth paintings using a ball, encouraging control and creativity.

We wrapped up the day with an outdoor cleanup, where students worked together to pick up litter and dispose of it properly. We love inspiring young minds to care for our planet πŸ’š
