Apparently this meeting is determined to keep us on our toes, because due to an unexpected scheduling conflict, we need to reschedule our Standards & Success Session… again.

At this point, we’re just going to say third time’s the charm and hope the universe agrees. 🤞😂

🚨 Parents & Guardians: Please Do Your Homework Before Choosing Child Care 🚨

Please, please, please take the time to thoroughly research anyone you are considering leaving your child with.

Choosing child care is one of the most important decisions you’ll make for your child. Ask questions. Verify information. Trust your instincts.

When a provider is licensed through the State of Nebraska, there are multiple safeguards in place to help protect children, including:
✔️ Background checks
✔️ Fingerprinting
✔️ Registry checks
✔️ Ongoing monitoring by Child Care Licensing

In addition, every adult living in the household—and anyone who moves into the home—must also complete required background screenings through the state.

Unlicensed providers are not required to meet these same licensing requirements, and Nebraska law limits the number of children they may care for. (3 children)

Before enrolling your child, consider asking:
• Is the provider licensed?
• Who lives in the household?
• Who may have access to my child during the day?
• What training and certifications does the provider have?
• Can I speak with references?

🚩 If you suspect a licensed provider is violating licensing regulations, you may file a complaint with Child Care Licensing.

🚩 If you believe someone is providing child care without the required license, reports must be based on first-hand information and should include as much detail as possible:
• Address or location
• Number of children observed
• Dates and times care was observed
• Description of the home or property if the address is unknown
• Nearby landmarks, businesses, schools, or vehicle descriptions

The more information provided, the greater the likelihood that the report can be investigated.

✅ If you're already a 2026 member and have paid your dues, please complete the form so we can verify your information and make sure your listing is accurate.

✅ If you have not joined for 2026 yet but would like to be included in the Provider Directory, you're welcome to complete the form now and join the Association. We will be collecting dues at our June 18th meeting.

💳 We're hoping to have a Venmo payment option available by Friday. If not, we'll work with you to arrange payment or pick up a check if you're unable to attend the meeting.
