Michigan Forest & Nature Preschool

Michigan Forest & Nature Preschool Nature and play are the greatest teachers. Inviting children to play and learn in the environment creates deep connections.

Approaching learning through curiosity, empathy, respect, and an appreciation for the natural world is at the heart of what we do.

Let's celebrate National Moth Week!

According to nationalmothweek.org, "National Moth Week is an annual, global event that invites people of all ages and backgrounds to participate in the mothing hobby, by sharing photos of moths they find for citizen science."

How can we celebrate and contribute to Moth Week? By going mothing!

Mothing? What is mothing?

"Mothing is the practice of attracting, observing, photographing, identifying, and documenting moths for enjoyment or scientific study."

Happy July!

The July 2026 issue of Wild Kids Magazine is up now!

In this month’s issue, we have a July foraging bucket list, a summer outdoor fun word search, and pages for pounding petals and flowers to make record sheets and art. Continuing our theme for 2026 of dangerous plants, this month’s information and botanical coloring pages are for for belladonna and the amazingly creepy doll’s eye plants. We also have all the usual ways to learn and play in nature, a July weather tree to record each day’s weather, nature poetry, nature study pages, a foraging record sheet and more.

This month’s issue is 20 pages. As always, it’s in PDF form so you can read it online, send it to your Kindle, or print it out.

And as always, the magazine is 100% ad-free and absolutely free for personal use.

You can read, download and print this month's Wild Kids here:

Please feel free to share the link to the magazine with anyone who might benefit.

Have a wild and wonderful month!
