HUGE congrats to Elleh and Nerissa for receiving the APA Division 45 Joseph Trimble student award for Public Service for their courageous and selfless efforts during UND's repatriation saga. These two helped with ceremonies and other cultural protocols, searching for and moving ancestors (knowing full well they might be remains from their own tribes' histories - which they were), and then taking care of other UND Native students by holding talking circles and other support for over a year. Elleh and Nerissa, your families, friends and ancestors sing to honor you.
