We’re so grateful to our community for joining us at this year’s Writers Conference! It’s hard to believe that it’s already been a week since our 57th annual conference launched! It was such a joy to see everyone here in Grand Forks and online for three days of mystery, whimsy, stories, and lovely community!
We’ll share more photos in the weeks ahead, courtesy of our volunteer photographers Anna Kinney and Chloe Piekkola. (Until then, we’re stuck with the couple of photos our director managed to nab with his phone! Or, you can check out ’s wonderful posts from the conference!)
And a million thanks to the amazing writers and artists who joined us and made “Fables & Futures” a dazzling Writers Conference, one we’ll never forget! It was our immense honor to welcome George Saunders, Maria Dahvana Headley (), Anna Maria Hong, Megan Kamalei Kakimoto (), Ananda Lima (), Roque Raquel Salas Rivera (), Amber Sparks (), Beatriz Cortez (), and Penelope Burns () into our community for three inspiring and uplifting days of storytelling, poetry, and art!

Only one more sleep until this year's UND Writers Conference gets fully underway, and we couldn't be more excited! Our supplies are all unloaded in the UND Memorial Union, and our posters are ready to display (see the last pic in the reel!). We can't wait to see you, whether you're joining us in-person or online!
We've also got another little Easter egg to share with all of you! If you've been watching our socials these last few weeks, you've seen a lot of .no.c's awesome designs . . . and you've also likely seen the little reader that's appeared in a lot of our graphics! (Hint: it's on the bottom left corner of this carousel's reminder slide, with our complete lineup!) We like to think that the reader is a shout-out to our beloved grotesques in UND's Merrifield Hall, which quietly watch over all the readers and writers who journey through UND.
Remember: there's still time to register for our in-person conference *and* to catch our livestreamed events on Zoom! See the link in our bio!
