At the Downtown Street Fair, we'll have a single Green Dot GGF table packed with everything you need to know, where you can share your proactive Green Dots, pick up some amazing Green Dot GGF swag, and enter to win gift cards!

Join us at the 701 Coworking Space on June 24th at 11:30am for lunch and a Green Dot overview! After some networking and food, we will share more about the Green Dot strategy and how community members can get more involved and learn the best ways to be an effective bystander.

Yesterday was Denim Day, and the Green Dot GGF CORE Team was proud to show our support! Sexual assault has no place in the Grand Forks community, and showing our support though proactive green dots is a great way to spread that message.

Tomorrow, April 29th, is Denim Day for Sexual Assault Awareness Month. Wearing denim to show your support for survivors of sexual assault would be considered a proactive green dot, since it shows that sexual violence will not be tolerated in our community!

According to our most recently available data, 1 in 4 women and 1 in 6 men will experience sexual assault in their lifetime*.

This April, we want to reflect on the statistics surrounding sexual assault and consider how our community can intervene to prevent it using the Green Dot strategy. See our previous post for intervention strategies that you can use to intervene in sexual assault situations.

*These numbers may not accurately portray the true amount of those affected by sexual assault, as many cases go unreported.
