French Club President Scott Edmunds won a student org raffle this spring, and club officers used the prize to coordinate an olive oil tasting event at local, family-owned small business - The Olive Barrel 🫒 Students sampled fine olive oils and learned about the industry during their delightful visit this week. Last week in GERM 405, students explored politics and media in German-speaking countries through two engaging events. We welcomed guest speaker Prof. Stephan Klinger, who shared insights on Austria’s government and current political climate, and students stepped into the roles of German political leaders to campaign for their parties in a hands-on simulation. It was an honor to have Dr. Libby Ginway last week at the University of North Dakota to learn more about her research on vampires and to present her co-translation with Dr. Muñoz-Mantas of Gabriela Rábago Palafox's _The Voice of Blood_ (University of Tampa Press, 2025).
