✨ Internship Feature: Payton Mceachern✨
Another great example of a student turning classroom knowledge into real-world experience!
"I am a Meeting Coordinator Intern at Data Recognition Corporation (DRC) in Maple Grove, Minnesota.
My favorite part of my internship has definitely been the people. Everyone has been so welcoming, supportive, and fun to work with. They've helped me learn so much, and I've had the opportunity to experience many different areas of the company while building great relationships along the way. One of the highlights so far was getting to attend a St. Paul Saints game with the team, where I even got to go on the field and participate in one of the between-inning games. It was such a fun experience!
I got my internship through networking and building connections. The Pancratz Center played a big role in helping me prepare by reviewing my résumé and doing mock interviews with me. Those practice interviews helped build my confidence and made me feel much more prepared for the real interview process.
My biggest piece of advice is to be open to every opportunity that comes your way. Don't be afraid to put yourself out there, ask questions, and meet new people. Networking has been one of the most valuable parts of my college experience because you never know where one conversation or connection might lead. Stay curious, keep learning, and take advantage of every opportunity to grow."
We love seeing students step outside their comfort zones and grow! Way to go, Payton! 👏✨
