North Dakota Veterans Entrepreneurship Program Intensive Entrepreneurial "Boot Camp" FREE to Qualifying Veterans. Comparable to a military boot camp, this program is intense, rigorous, and challenging.

The North Dakota Veterans Entrepreneurship Program (VEP) offers cutting edge, experiential training in entrepreneurship and small business management to soldiers, sailors, airmen, members of the coast guard, and marines disabled as a result of their service. The intent of the VEP is to open the door to entrepreneurial opportunity and small business ownership to veterans by developing their compete

ncies in the many steps and activities associated with creating and sustaining an entrepreneurial venture and helping them find appropriate programs and services. Building upon key elements of UND School of Entrepreneurship’s comprehensive entrepreneurship curriculum, the program consists of a series of training modules designed to assist veterans in creating and growing businesses that can be profitable. A team of experienced faculty and successful entrepreneurs will provide a fun, interactive, and informative experience. They will introduce entrepreneurship ideas and concepts, and show how to apply them to a current or potential business. The VEP program is offered entirely free to qualified veterans accepted into the program. There is no charge for transportation to Grand Forks, the online and live courses, instruction, books, materials, food, and outings.

General information

VEP serves veterans who meet the following three requirements: 1. Have separated from active duty service (or are in the process of separating) with an honorable discharge. 2. Are identified as disabled by the Veteran’s Administration or DOD based on a service-connected disability (or) are service distinguished based on exemplary military conduct. 3. Demonstrate an intense motivation to start or grow a business.
