This group is an outreach for freethinkers, atheists, agnostics, humanists, and secularists.

The Secular Student Alliance is working with students and faculty at UND to start a campus group for atheists, agnostics, nontheists, humanists, skeptics, freethinkers, and other students who do not believe in a god or gods. Repost for Visibility:

I invite everyone who disagrees with this article to write a letter to the editor. If you're willing, I could post them to our group site in a blog format as well. Considering all of them will not be published, I think it would be great to show that there are a lot of people who disagree with what was said in this piece.

I went to the Dakota Student office today and learned that the "Opinion" section is for full-time staff writers only, however, anyone can write a Letter to the Editor that will be reviewed and published based on their review process. If we send enough letters, they're bound to print one, and we'll have our own site to spread around and show that the article was, well, wrong.

To submit a Letter to the Editor, just follow the directions on the footer of the D.S. website. Also, I'd recommend emailing it to the editor directly to ensure they receive it. If you want to share it with FUND and have it published on our site/blog email it to me, or post it here.

I recommend that anyone wanting to write a piece in response finish it by this week so that it is still relevant, therefor more likely to be published.

In reason,

What is Free Will? A discussion put on by the Philosophy and Religion club here at UND and it is available to anyone. Should be a thought provoking evening.

Shameless self promotion: Notice our nifty little support button on the bottom of our website? New and returning members are encouraged to try it out to pay member dues. Who uses cash/check these days anyway?
