We are thrilled to have hosted lawyers from around the country over the weekend. We are always excited to share our wonderful campus and community!

Tonight we enjoyed hosting a group of law professors from throughout the United States on a downtown historic walking tour! Of course, we had to bring them for a group photo in front of the new downtown mural that’s being painted! 🎉

Today, we remember and honor the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and all those whose lives were forever changed by the events of that day.

We also recognize the courage and sacrifice of the first responders, service members, and countless individuals who stepped forward in the days and years that followed.

UND School of Law joins communities across the nation in remembrance. We will never forget.

Congratulations to UND School of Law Professor Carolyn Williams!

Professor Williams was recently presented with the 2025 Teresa Godwin Phelps Award for Scholarship in Legal Communication at the 2026 Legal Writing Institute Biennial Conference.

She was also elected to a third term as Treasurer of the Legal Writing Institute and presented twice at the conference on generative AI, legal writing, and the future of legal education.

Ninety-eight first-year students officially began their legal education at UND Law with New Student Convocation and a week of orientation.

Representing 18 states and two countries, the Class of 2029 was welcomed into the UND Law community. Alumna Ashley Samuelson, North Dakota District Court Judge for the Northeast Judicial District, delivered the keynote address, centered on professionalism, service, integrity, and the responsibility that comes with entering the legal profession.
