Emma is majoring in Chemical Engineering with an Energetics concentration while also pursuing a minor in Mathematics.

Calling all future space engineers! Ready to help NASA figure out how to build habitats on the Moon?

The Build the Moon Challenge invites middle and high school teams to dive into authentic aerospace research. Students will get hands-on experience with real lunar regolith simulant to formulate their own building materials, design a lunar habitat, and put their engineering skills to the test.

Whether you lead a classroom, a homeschool network, an afterschool club, or any other formal or informal learning group—your team is invited to take on the mission.

Need funding? The NDSGC is proud to support teams in North Dakota with funding to cover participation costs.
