Today marks the 50th anniversary of the passage of the Rehabilitation (Rehab) Act of 1973โthe first federal legislation to address access and equity for people with disabilities! A precursor to the ADA, the Rehab Act prohibited discrimination against people with disabilities by federal agencies, federal contractors, and institutions receiving federal funds. Happy Birthday!
