Today was filled with inspiration and celebration as we honored four exceptional teacher finalists. 🍎🏆 But that's not all - the moment we've all been waiting for arrived, and we proudly announce Sheila Peterson as the 24th North Dakota Teacher of the Year! 🎉👏

Sheila is a dedicated Physical Education teacher from Wachter Middle School. She's not just a teacher; she's our very own Mrs. Yes!
Sheila's passion for education shines through in her commitment to her students and fellow educators. She's not only a champion for our kids but also a teacher-leader champion. 🌟

🌟 Exciting Moments at the Nurturing STEM Conference at UND! 🌟

I had the incredible privilege of participating in a panel that kicked off the Nurturing STEM Conference at UND, and what an inspiring experience it was! Huge thanks to for hosting this remarkable event, bringing together over 150 educators from across North Dakota. It's truly heartwarming to see educators coming together to share ideas, experiences, and strategies to make STEM education even more engaging and impactful. The future looks so bright when we invest in our student's curiosity and critical thinking skills.

A big shoutout to the organizers, presenters, and all the educators who attended. Let's keep igniting the flames of curiosity and knowledge in our students! Together, we're shaping a future full of endless possibilities.

What an incredible day for ND educators on August 3rd!! Thanks to the amazing collaboration between ND Department of Public Instruction and the ND National Guard, teachers were taken on an unforgettable flight to Camp Grafton. A day filled with exciting learning opportunities and valuable conversations. From adrenaline-pumping rappelling adventures to insightful building tours, and even getting to try simulated weapons, we embraced the experience with enthusiasm and courage!! 🚀🌟 NSTOY Space Camp 2023: A Journey of Exploration, Learning, and Laughter! 🌟🚀

What an unforgettable experience it has been at the Space Camp in Alabama! The 2023 NSTOY cohort came together, explored the cosmos, and created memories that will last a lifetime. 🌌✨
Throughout this incredible adventure, we pushed ourselves out of our comfort zones and discovered the true meaning of teamwork. Together, we soared through anti-gravity simulations, walked on the moon, and even embarked on a simulated Mars mission!
As educators, we have gained so much from this experience and are excited to bring this knowledge and inspiration to our students. Our mission doesn't end here. We aim to ignite an everlasting spark of curiosity in the young minds we teach, nurturing future astronauts and incredible human beings who will become global citizens of our beloved Mother Earth. 🌍
