🚴‍♀️ Learning Beyond the Classroom! 💆‍♂️

This past weekend, our Therapeutic Massage students had the opportunity to attend Bike MS in Frankenmuth and provide complimentary sports massage to riders participating in the event!

Experiences like this are such an important part of massage therapy education. Our students were able to take the techniques they’ve been learning in the classroom and apply them in a real-world setting—working with athletes, adapting to individual needs, and gaining valuable hands-on experience while completing community event hours required for their program.

We’re proud of our students for stepping outside the classroom to learn, serve, and grow as future massage therapists.

A huge thank you to Bike MS Frankenmuth for allowing our students to be part of such a great event! 💜

📚 Why We Learn This

Ever wonder why massage students spend so much time studying anatomy?

Because every muscle tells a story.

When a client says:
👉 "My neck hurts."
👉 "My hand keeps tingling."
👉 "I can't lift my arm."

A massage therapist doesn't just start massaging.

They think:
✔️ Which muscles could be involved?
✔️ What movement causes the pain?
✔️ Is this something massage can help, or should the client be referred to another healthcare provider?

Great massage therapists don't just know where the muscles are, they understand how the body works.

That's the difference education can make!
