Ms. Bonner's 4th hour CTE students were visited by "The Car Seat Safety Guy", Lew Moquin, who is well-known in the area for his expertise with car seat safety. He also helps families in need acquire car seats. GBHS Child Psychology and Parenting students learned how to properly install a car seat and why it is important to do so correctly. "Grand Blanc Construction Trades I, II, and Advanced III spent the day at the LiUNA Labors Training Center in Perry, Michigan. The student workers assembled and disassembled concrete wall forms and scaffolding. They also learned about asbestos abatement and other on the job safety protocol. We are so proud of our Trades team at GBHS!"

Pre-Apprenticeship Summer Program
Offering an 8-week Summer Pre-Apprenticeship opportunity for current Juniors & Seniors through MLTAI and LiUNA. It is paid ($15 per hour + full union benefits) and will consist of 4 weeks of training at LiUNA in Perry and 4 weeks on the job. Transportation will be provided from GCI plus they will receive a small transportation stipend.
