Heaven gained another angel. Just wanted you all to know that Carmen has passed away. 💔💔

From Bonnie Rozean...

Dear Grand Countians. It saddens me to share that the love of my life, my best friend in this world, & the father of our children, Kyle & Drew passed away peacefully yesterday morning. He was healthy & happy & we don't know yet what happened. Even though we no longer live in our home county, I thought many of you would like to know. Thank you all for the love & fun over the years when we lived there. It will always be our home.

As the Granby Dairy building is ready for the wrecking ball, here's some nostalgia. The Granby Dairy began at the Smillie F Slash Ranch (C Lazy U), then moved to 106 Jasper Avenue, Granby. In 1955, Carlson-Frink Company of Denver bought Granby Dairy. Bob Smillie was the manager, with Buck Dailey, and Jim Chase the employees. On September 1, 1960, Buck Dailey became the owner/operator until 1966, selling Borden's Dairy Foods. Elsie the Cow was a big hit for local kids. Notice the old phone # 229W. The Borden's ad was from a 1960's, Sky-Hi News Vacation Guide."

July 11, 2018: This message is for anyone and everyone who is a graduate from Middle Park High School(East Grand School District of Grand County, Colorado)from 1948 to the present. The Alumn Assoc was formed in 1996 to benefit ALL in keeping in touch with classmates and to support current graduates with scholarships, awards, etc. by staying in touch and celebrating our friendships that last forever. There is info on this site to tell you where to find the Assoc, but as a reminder it is MPHS Alumni Assoc, P O Box 175 Hot Sulphur Springs, Co. 80451. My telephone number is on all of the paper/contact places:970-725-3374. If you get the answering machine you need to take the time to tell me who you are and then I will call you. (I do screen my calls-but I do make time to call all MPHS grads). The alumni assoc. is not planning anything for July of 2018. With all of the summer activities in Grand County and problems trying to get people to do reserved spaces it has become too expensive for most out of town/ out of State grads to travel at this time.. Soooo-- We are going to try something new. Early in October homecoming week is planned. We are going to try to work with the school to offer a couple of different times for Alumni to share is the school celebration. (Like maybe going to the football game or having a 'meet & greet' reception.) IF YOU HAVE ANY IDEAS TO SHARE-PLEASE CALL ME!!970-725-3374! Get your lists of your own classmate/grads together--Plan your own time/events//and then share your support of the Scholarship program with $$$$ to the Assoc. PLEASE START YOUR SUPPORT BY SHARING THIS POST WITH ALL THE MPUHS/MPHS ALUMNI YOU KNOW.
Thanks- Yvonne Knox'56.

Remember when you went up to Grand Lake Lodge in the summer and took all your friends and relatives you wanted to show off our beautiful place we lived in. It looked like the first picture.
Well we just went up there and this is what the new owners have done to it.
