We’re Building Our Classroom Communities!

The first few days of school have been all about settling in, building relationships, and getting to know our teachers and classmates. ❤️

One of the most important ways our Champions are building community is through our CKH Social Contracts. Each classroom worked together to decide how they want to be treated and how they want to treat others. Students shared their ideas, agreed on the words that represent their classroom, and made a commitment to hold one another accountable throughout the year.

These Social Contracts will be a guide for our classrooms all year long as we learn, grow, encourage one another, and build a strong sense of belonging.

We are off to a great start, Champions! 🏆

This morning, our students who earned Pirate Proud at the end of last year joined Mrs. Jernigan for a special Pirate Proud Ambassador training!

Together, they talked about what it means to lead their class, serve as greeters, make others feel welcome, and be strong leaders every single day. They also received their very own Pirate Proud yard signs to celebrate the hard work, responsibility, and commitment that earned them this special honor!

We are so proud of the leadership, responsibility, and heart these ambassadors are already showing. We can’t wait to see the impact they make across our campus!💜🏴‍☠️
