Dear Parents,
Tomorrow is the end of our first six weeks of this school year. For students that began the year with us, each should have successfully completed ten to twelve (10 - 12) knowledge unit tests. If you have questions or concerns, please contact your student's teacher. They are ready to work with you to help your student earn their high school diploma.
Our students planned an inspiring SEE YOU AT THE POLE program for yesterday morning. Over a fourth of our students chose to attend. This is the first time in our sixteen year history that we have participated in this nation wide event. Our thanks to Granbury Baptist Church, Imagine Church, and StoneWater Church for their generous donations to the event. Additionally, we are most appreciative of our community support for our students and this event.
Speaking of firsts, on Tuesday, October 13, 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m., we are hosting a Career Fair focusing on careers in the trades. We have representatives from several career tech centers offering information for a variety of career training and our military recruiters. Come by and visit with the folks that have information, insight, and answers to your questions.
During October, we will be benchmark testing students that are slated to take their End of Course Tests in December. This date is designed for students that have not passed their previous EOCs or those planning to graduate in early spring. Tutorials have begun to prepare students for success on these required tests.
Parents, you have sent us some amazing students! Thanks so much for thinking of Premeir.
We have a few seats remaining for the school year at PHS and Texas Works. If you know people that are seeking a smaller educational environment for their students, tell them about PHS Granbury. Have them call our office at 817.573.0435 to make an appointment to find out more about our program and both of our schools.
At PHS and Texas Works, we believe that education changes everything. Please contact me if you wish, I am always eager to answer any questions you may have about our schools.
Respectfully,
Marsha Grissom, Director
