A special thank you to Jancy Page (an Alumni) for the educational presentation and also to Mrs. Jones for planning this event for her World Prep class, grades 7 - 12 attended. Jancy has worked at True Life Taxidermy for 5 years. She began there in 12th grade as part of our Cooperative Work Experience Program. Everyone learned extensively about the detailed steps of taxidermy. Jancy has been promoted to the finishing process which is an art in itself that requires a deep study of the animal's anatomy. The students were able to view educatonal photos of the step by step process behind taxidermy. Jancy hunts and has gone on a hunting expedition to Africa and plans on heading there again. She brought two mounts of her own, a white tail and a kudu. We were blessed by this academic presentation and are planning another date for Jancy Page to show us some of her live reptiles (another of her loves). Thank you again Jancy, Mrs. Jones, and True Life Taxidermy here in Granbury.
