Congratulations, 2ndLt Milligan! 🇺🇸
A proud day for the Granbury MCJROTC family!
Congratulations to former Granbury MCJROTC Cadet Milligan, who was commissioned this past weekend as a Second Lieutenant in the United States Marine Corps following his graduation from Texas A&M University.
Making the moment even more special, two members of our MCJROTC family were there to take part in the ceremony. Former Cadet Sgt Hafford had the honor of rendering 2ndLt Milligan’s first salute, while our former Marine Instructor, 1stSgt Rositas, had the privilege of pinning on his Second Lieutenant bars.
From cadet to Marine Officer — we could not be prouder to see one of our own earn the title and begin the next chapter of his service.
Congratulations, 2ndLt Milligan. Semper Fidelis! 🇺🇸🦅🌎⚓

Throughout the day, our cadets participated in leadership discussions, officer and enlisted breakout sessions, orientation rehearsals, drill, formations, and final staff corrections. Every event was designed to ensure our student leaders are ready to welcome and mentor the next generation of Granbury MCJROTC cadets.
A heartfelt thank you to MSgt. Perry and Capt. Eitel for taking the time to invest in our cadets. Your willingness to share your leadership experiences, challenge our staff, and mentor our future leaders made a tremendous impact. The professionalism, knowledge, and perspective you brought to the classroom reinforced the importance of servant leadership and leading by example.
I am incredibly proud of our Battalion Staff. Over the past three days, they have grown as leaders, strengthened their teamwork, and demonstrated the commitment and professionalism that make our program successful. Now it’s time to put that training into action as we welcome our newest cadets tomorrow.

Today, our cadet leaders spent the day sharpening the skills they’ll need to lead our battalion this year. We focused on teamwork, communication, professionalism, and the responsibility that comes with wearing leadership billets. Great leaders aren’t born—they’re developed through training, hard work, and a commitment to serving others.
I’m proud of the effort and attitude these cadets brought today. This is just the beginning, and I’m looking forward to seeing them continue to grow throughout the week.
