It’s time to show some hometown pride! Bring your bulldog and wildcat spirit to GES to get ready for the Battle on the River football game between LHS and SJH! Gators can represent their favorite local high school team Friday, October 16th by wearing their black, gold, or purple attire. Be sure to follow the district's dress code guidelines.

Mrs. Bennett's Gators kicked off Module 2 with an engaging classroom discussion on wordplay and figurative language! Students used the Qball to share their thinking, build on ideas, and actively participate in the conversation.

The result? 100% classroom engagement! We love seeing every Gator involved, sharing their voice, and learning together!

Gramercy Elementary PTO Boo Gram Sales have begun! If you would like to treat your teacher this Halloween season, please return the order form and payment in an envelope with your child’s name on it by October 23rd. Payments can be made in cash or check only. All checks should be made to GES PTO.

Our Gators put their best foot forward and showed off their silliest and most colorful socks in celebration of National 4-H Week! We love seeing our students show their creativity, school spirit, and 4-H pride! 🍀

Our Gators celebrated a fantastic first quarter with a PBIS Bash full of music, popsicles, and plenty of playtime! It was a great day to recognize positive behavior, celebrate accomplishments, and enjoy some well deserved fun with friends!

Mrs. Daze's students are working together to analyze an excerpt from "All Summer in a Day!" Through thoughtful annotations, they identified sensory details that bring the setting to life and used textual evidence to explain the mood of the excerpt.

By collaborating, thinking critically, and digging deeper into the text, our students are strengthening their reading comprehension and analytical skills one annotation at a time! Way to go, Gators!

GES Dove Into Reading at Literacy Night!

Our Gators made a splash at our Family Literacy Night! Families dove into exciting literacy activities, explored new adventures through books, and made waves while celebrating the joy of reading!

A big THANK YOU to Mrs. Rougee, our amazing teachers, families, and staff for making this evening a "shore" thing!

Gators, keep swimming, keep reading, and let your imagination sail!

Mrs. Ursin’s 5th grade ELA students kicked off Module 2 with a fun introduction to wordplay! Students explored puns, homophones, homographs, and idioms through an interactive riddle activity.

Students had to find the matching card to their riddle, then read it aloud and give their classmates a chance to guess the answer. The riddles were definitely a hit—they thought they were hilarious!

After the laughs, students discussed the wordplay hidden within each riddle and what made it funny. They were learning without even realizing it!

When students are laughing, thinking, and learning all at the same time, you know it’s been a great day in ELA!

Learning from Our Local Heroes!

Our Gators had an exciting visit from our local fire department and got a firsthand look at firefighting! Students learned about the equipment and tools firefighters use, how they respond to emergencies, and the important job they do to protect our community.

A big THANK YOU to our firefighters for sharing their knowledge and giving our students an up-close look at the world of firefighting!
