This week Graham High School Fire Academy has been busy learning about the Stages of Fire, Portable extinguishers now onto Forcible entry. A Exciting week for these cadets ! Thank you to Graham Fire Department on the assistance with portable extinguishers.

Thank you to Chief Macon and Chaplain Brown of the E.M Holt Fire Department for visiting the morning and evening Fire academy to share their experiences in the Graham High School Fire Academy and their careers in the fire service.

Thank you to ABSS and Graham Middle School for having the Graham High School Fire Academy out for a great morning with students interested in careers throughout Alamance county!

Come out to Holly Hill mall, Burlington nc , today 9-12pm , GHFA will have a booth discussing the fire program, along side public safety and other ACC/ ABSS programs!

Haw River Fire Department proudly introduces Chief John “Garrett” Lewis as our new Fire Chief. Chief Lewis brings over a decade of fire service experience and leadership. As well as several years of service at Haw River Fire Department.

Over the years, Chief Lewis has served in many roles including Fire and Rescue Training Coordinator at Alamance Community College and Deputy Chief at another Alamance county fire department.

His experience includes being a qualified instructor, certified fire officer, rescue officer and experience as a training officer. He is a graduate of the UNCC Fire Rescue Management Institute and has numerous specialty classes and certifications such as ARFF and Technical Rescue with specialties.

Welcome aboard, Chief! We’re lucky to have you!!! 🔥
