Congratulations to our Steers and Lady Blues Golf teams at their most recent tournaments!

Lady Blues -
Gainesville: 1st place team and Jacie Trice was 1st place.

Steers -
Glen Rose: Jagger Nees was 3rd place. Jagger also shot a school record of -7, 65 in round 2!

Bridgeport: Team 3rd place, Jagger 2nd place individual. The Steers shot the lowest team score in 10 years!

Due to the technical difficulties with the speakers on Friday night, we were not able to introduce our Homecoming Court like we had hoped. So we are posting each of our queen nominees and their bios. Our final nominee was Ava Street.

Ava Street is a 17-year-old senior at Graham High School. She is a member of Key Club, Student Council, Youthlead, and National Honor Society, where she serves as Vice President. Ava is involved in Varsity Basketball, Soccer, and Track. Outside of school, she is a 14-year veteran of Renee’s Dance Factory and a member of the First United Methodist Church. Ava loves making memories with her friends, family, and teammates. Some of her favorite things include watching movies, going to concerts, and spending summers at Camp Longhorn. Ava’s advice to her classmates is to radiate kindness and do all the good you can.

Bayleigh McGee is the daughter of Jordan and Allen McGee and the oldest of 4 kids. She is 17 years old and a senior at Graham High School. She is president of Student Council, Vice President of Thespians, and the Community Outreach Officer for Key Club and National Honor Society. She is varsity cheer co-captain and has been a member of Renee’s Dance Factory since 7th grade. Bayleigh attends Highridge church and spends most Sundays serving in the 5-year-old through 2nd-grade room. In her free time, Bayleigh loves spending time with her family, hanging out with her best friends, and babysitting. Her favorite things are her cat Oreo, re-reading her favorite books, and traveling. Bayleigh’s advice to her classmates is to live out Matthew 5:14-16 and to be the light to everyone around you.

Ella Andrade is an 18-year-old senior at Graham High School. She is involved in Key Club, Student Council, has been on the cheer team for four years and is serving as captain this year. Ella started dancing at the age of three and has attended Renee's Dance Factory for the past fifteen years. In her free time, she works for Agency of Saints. Ella enjoys binge-watching TikTok, shopping online, and hanging out with her friends and family. A bible verse she lives by is “walk by faith, not by sight” 2 Corinthians 5:7. She tries to be an inspiration to everyone she comes across while continuing to share her love for God. Every Sunday morning, Ella attends Highridge Church with her family. After graduation, she plans to go to college and wants to pursue occupational therapy for children because she loves helping kids. A piece of advice for everyone is to give it to God, no matter the outcome, and know that God has a plan for you.

Pep Rally Sign Up
Don't forget to sign up for the HOCO Pep Rally! Like last year, ALL non-GHS staff and students must register for the Pep Rally. Here is the Pep Rally Process: Competition Gym Doors will open for the community and parents at 12:45pm on Friday. Pep Rally starts at 1:25. On Pep Rally Day, Parents and Community Members who have pre-enrolled will enter through the gym doors and will receive their pre-printed badge.
