Hello to everyone, hope each of you and your family are doing well. Our classmate Frank Griffith is sort of down and low in spirit at this time. This time of the year is tough on people who are confined to a rest home. I would like to ask each of you if you would send Frank a Christmas card and let him know that we are thinking about him. I know this would lift his spirit tremendously and he would be thrilled to hear from each of you. His address is 1987 Hilton Rd. Room 50 Burlington N.C.27217. It is with a terribly sad heart for me to have to announce the passing of Lamar Mooneyham. Sweet Deborah reach out to me this morning to let us all know. I have no details at this time but will post as soon as available.

Wanted to let our class know that Tommy Thacker, Myra Jones’s husband passed away Thursday morning. Please keep the family in your prayers.

This is my grandma and her best friend Joyce. They went to school together my grandma is 95 and Joyce is 96. Over 80 years of friendship. They would meet every weekend for a cup of tea and a biscuit until my grandma got sick in March since then they haven’t seen each other. Well today they were reunited. They hugged, kissed, cried and told each other over and over again how much they missed each other. They sat like this for most of the visit. It truly was one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen. 😍

We would like to do a celebration of life ( memorial service ) for our dear classmate Betty Hensley. Anyone who wishes will have an opportunity to say something on Betty’s behalf at our gathering. Hope all is well with each of you ! It is time for a get together with our class of 68. We are going to meet at Harvest Baptist Church at the Lighthouse fellowship bld from 4pm til 7:30 pm. We will have a catered meal for dinner at no cost to you. We look forward to seeing and catching up with each of you. Please do your best to attend. A celebration of life service for our friend and classmate Betty Hensley will be January 22nd at 1:00 pm at Saint Stephen United Methodist Church. 6800 Sardis road Charlotte,N.C. - mask will be required.
