Amazing news for ACC Biotechnology! 🧬 The National Science Foundation has awarded ACC $474,878 to launch BioQuest, a new associate degree in Biopharma Quality, with the first courses starting in Fall 2027. Investments like this open doors for the students we serve, preparing them for in-demand careers right here in the Piedmont. Congratulations to ACC's Biotechnology Department!

Alamance Community College (ACC) has been awarded $474,878 from the National Science Foundation’s Advanced Technological Education (NSF-ATE) program (DUE #2553982) to develop BioQuest.

This new initiative will prepare students for careers in biopharma quality. ACC is one of only two institutions in North Carolina to receive NSF-ATE funding focused on biotechnology this year.

Big thanks to the Piedmont Triad Regional Council for donating 20 new Lenovo laptops to ACC! 💻💙

These laptops will be added to our Library’s loaner program, giving more students access to the technology they need for classes and coursework.

We are so grateful for partners who see a need and step up to help our students. This is a great example of what community partnership looks like, and we appreciate PTRC’s investment in ACC and our students!

Congratulations to Gina Smith, this year’s recipient of the Alamance County Chapter of Medical Assistants Scholarship! 🎉

Through their generous support, the Alamance County Chapter of Medical Assistants provides a scholarship each year to a deserving student in Alamance Community College’s Medical Assisting Program.

The ACC Foundation was proud to be represented in Washington, D.C. this week! 🇺🇸

ACC President Dr. Ken Ingle, Vice President of Public Affairs and Philanthropy Sarah Hardin, and ACC Foundation Board Member Chip Foushee joined the Alamance Chamber for conversations focused on workforce development, emerging technologies, economic growth, and new opportunities to invest in our region.

The group also met with the U.S. Department of Commerce to explore additional funding opportunities and ways to strengthen partnerships that create new opportunities for our students and community.

Through the statewide NC College Connect initiative, eligible North Carolina high school seniors now have a direct, streamlined path to college-- no essays, no test scores, no barriers. This year, the program expanded to reach even more students, meaning more doors are opening than ever before.

Making history at ACC! 🎉

Congratulations to Justin Pedley, Department Head of Veterinary Medical Technology, on his appointment to the North Carolina Veterinary Medical Board!

Justin will serve a five-year term as the sole Registered Veterinary Technician representative for the state of North Carolina and is the youngest individual ever appointed to the position.

We’re proud to have Justin representing veterinary technicians across our state and representing ACC on a statewide level!

Welcome back, Otters! 🦦Our Foundation had a great time at “Where Can I?” Wednesday for Welcome Back Week on main campus, meeting new and returning students and sharing what the Foundation does for ACC thanks to our generous donors.
