🚀 Mr. Riddle’s classes hit the ground running in the Drayton Ag Center! 🥚🪂

Students kicked off the school year with a hands-on STEM Egg Drop Challenge! Working in teams, students had to design and build a protective device to keep their egg safe during a drop.

It was a great way to start the year with teamwork, creativity, problem-solving, and engineering skills—and, of course, a few cracked eggs along the way! 😂🥚

We’re excited to see what our students create, build, and learn this year! 🌱🔧

🚁 Future pilots, engineers, and innovators took flight at North Valley CTC's Drone Camp!

Last week, students entering grades 6–9 explored the exciting world of unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) through three days of hands-on learning and flight activities. Camp participants learned how drones are used in a variety of industries, practiced safe flight operations, and developed their piloting skills.

The experience concluded with a field trip to Grand Sky and the UND Research Institute for Autonomous Systems, where students explored cutting-edge UAS technology and discovered the many career opportunities available right here in North Dakota.

A big thank you to our industry partners for helping inspire the next generation of UAS professionals!

This camp was made possible through funding from the Regional Workforce Impact Program (RWIP) through the North Dakota Department of Commerce, supporting efforts to introduce students to high-demand careers and strengthen North Dakota's future workforce.

We can't wait to see where these students' curiosity, and their careers, take them next!

Wrapping up our Student of the Month recognitions with our May honoree, Evan Dahl from Park River!

Evan stands out for his strong work ethic, leadership, and impressive understanding of automotive and mechanical principles. Mr. Halcrow said other students naturally gravitate toward him to learn from his skills, and his “can do” attitude makes him a leader in the shop. Evan also recently earned 4th place at SkillsUSA while competing against upperclassmen, an incredible accomplishment for a sophomore! 🚗
