Grafton (VT) Elementary School Interim Principal Appointed, from the WNESU: The Windham Northeast Supervisory Union is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Heather Willis-Doxsee as the interim principal of Grafton Elementary School (VERMONT) for the 2026-2027 school year, following the resignation of Angela Cartier.
Our priority is a seamless transition and a strong, organized opening to the upcoming school year. Dr. Willis-Doxsee brings extensive educational leadership experience to this role, and WNESU leadership is entirely confident in her ability to maintain stability, support our staff, and ensure a positive, high-quality environment for all students from day one. [According to the WNESU's website, she most recently served as Director of Student Services at Central Elementary School in Bellows Falls, Vermont.]
The Athens and Grafton communities are invited to Grafton Elementary School on Wednesday, August 12 for two important sequential events:
5:00 PM | Interim Principal Meet and Greet (School Library): An informal opportunity for families and community members to meet Dr. Willis-Doxsee, welcome her to the school, and ask questions ahead of the new year.
Immediately Following | In-Person Community Forum: A forum open to all Athens and Grafton community members, hosted by Dave Younce. Mr. Younce is currently leading the Grafton Elementary School Sustainability Study and will facilitate discussion regarding the school's long-term future.
