The Taylor county FFA had their banquet to recognize all the hard work these young men and women do and how FFA help grow them in to role models for anyone the membership isn’t only people who do strictly FFA there are members of athletic programs and more even our own President Landon Jefferson is an active member. They had many great guest including the superintendent and assistant superintendent of the county, GHS principal, and WV FFA president Isaiah Ash. A special thanks to Mr. Tennant who is the advisor for them and is also an amazing role model to help form these members to anything they want or need to be.

We’ve told you about our president whose running for reelection but now it’s time to tell you about his running mate Braxton Poling
Braxton is in FBLA where he learns the fundamentals of business and he does track & field while he served as a member of the TCMS student council this year he was elected our treasurer he loves to volunteer in the community and wants student council to do the same which is one of the reasons he wants to be vice president when he isn’t coming up with ideas for student council he likes to fish and play saxophone (no he isn’t Bill Clinton) he wants student council to collaborate with the other student councils to make the school a better place

We are happy to announce our president Landon Jefferson is running for class president reelection we would like to tell you a little bit about him
Landon has been in student council for 2 years now after being elected president at TCMS he decided to run for freshman year where he has had many accomplishments like buying a legacy brick for the class of 2027 to help support the Friends of Grafton HS Baseball in revamping the baseball field at GHS he has also lead volunteering opportunities like picking up trash around the schools campus and volunteering at WTES spring carnival he is now planning on sponsoring a teacher appreciation lunch for the amazing staff at GHS now that we’ve told you about his student council stuff let’s tell you about him he is an active member in the Taylor County FFA Chapter where he participated in the parliamentary procedure contest and the Ham Bacon and Egg sale he is also active in his community and his church he is also a member of the Rocky Mountain Elk foundation mountaineer chapter in Bridgeport WV he hopes to be reelected and do more to support the class of 27 and its members as well as his community when he is not presiding he is playing guitar, hunting, volunteering in his community, and spending time with his big family.
