Blue Sky Aesthetics School falls under our Blue Sky School of Professional Massage Therapeutic Bodywork School. We are thrilled to be able to offer our Aesthetics Program at our Grafton location, hopefully early 2023 looking to offer it at our Green Bay location.

I would love to share a heartfelt experience that happened this week.

As school owners and administrators, we know all about the healing power of massage and how it impacts individuals each and every day. But we work behind the scenes, dealing with schedules, paperwork, policies, questions, clinic appointments, solving problems, staffing, compliance, and all the little things that keep a school running—and help people reach their dreams of graduating and becoming a massage therapist.

We hear wonderful things about our students and graduates all the time from the people they work with, and those moments mean so much to us. But those moments belong to the student and the client—and that's exactly how it should be. We get to cheer them on from behind the scenes and take great pride in knowing that the education, training and support we provide helped prepare them for those moments.

But this week, WE WERE INCLUDED.

A student was working with a client in our training clinic, a client who had spent years living with lower back pain. She had tried many things, but had never tried massage therapy.

At the end of the session, that student brought the client to my office door.

THE CLIENT WAS IN TEARS.

Not tears of pain, but tears of gratitude and amazement. She couldn't stop thanking our student and telling us that she couldn't believe it... she was pain-free for the first time in years.

And in the middle of all that gratitude, our student humbly said, “It wasn't just me. It was the training I received from the school.”

But WE KNOW BETTER.

Yes, the education matters. The training matters. The techniques and knowledge matter.

But THE PERSON MATTERS, TOO.

It takes a remarkable student to take everything they've learned and turn it into something that can change another person's day—or, in this case, perhaps change how someone gets to live her life.

And what made this moment even more special to me was that this student thought to bring her client to me. She could have simply accepted the gratitude and walked away. Instead, she brought her client to my door and allowed me to share in the moment.

That was A GIFT.

Because behind every student who walks into our school, there is a small team of dedicated people who truly care about the success of our students. People who have worried about them, challenged them, encouraged them and cheered them on.

There is something pretty special about watching one of our students realize just how much they are capable of giving and helping another person.

This student graduates next month and, along with her classmates, we are so proud of her—not only for the massage therapist she is becoming, but for the compassion, humility and thoughtfulness she showed in that moment.

This is the part of our job as massage school administrators that means the most—watching students grow, change and realize the difference they can make in someone else's life.

We are so grateful to be part of their journey. ❤️
