🛫 CLEARED FOR TAKEOFF, JACKRABBITS! 🛬

We are excited to share that our technology program received a flight simulator through the Students In Aviation grant program!

This gives our students hands on experience with real world aviation concepts like aerodynamics, navigation, and problem solving while exploring future careers in aerospace.

We are so grateful for this opportunity and cannot wait to see our students take flight. ✈️

What a season for our Graford Robotics teams 🤍🖤

This was our first true year competing at this level, and my awesome students proved that hard work and belief can take you far. We began the year with three teams. Two of those teams qualified for both VEX UIL State, competing against 1A through 3A schools across Texas, and VEX State, competing against 1A through 6A schools across our region. Over the course of five competitions, they continued to grow in confidence, skill, and teamwork.

Sprokets
Noah finished 9th in qualifying at VEX State against 1A through 6A schools. That is an incredible accomplishment. Sprokets also earned the Judges Award at the Bryson Showdown and Robot Skills Champion at the Iowa Park Invitational. He had two assistants throughout the season Case and Carson.

Raisin’ Kaines
Addi, Josh, and Amalia represented Graford with pride as a freshman team at state. They brought home Robot Skills Champion and the Think Award at the Bryson Invitational, I cannot wait to watch them grow!

Beyond the awards and rankings, we had amazing experiences and built lasting friendships. The VEX community is a special one to be part of. Students compete hard, cheer for one another, and learn from teams across the state. During this season, we also had the opportunity to experience NASA in Houston, with some of a friends we have made along the way. I am so proud of the time, commitment, and heart these students poured into this season. Thank you to our school, admin, families, my fellow vex coach friends, and our incredible sponsors for making it possible.

Graford Robotics had an amazing year. And we are just getting started. 🤍🖤

Super proud of my drone kiddos today!! We finished 2nd and 3rd place in both teamwork and skills! The girls came home with the airmanship award also!!

Through the Aerial Drone Competition these kiddos are not just flying drones. They are coding autonomous missions, writing their engineering notebooks, speaking with judges, and building alliances with teams from other schools. It connects our small town to a much bigger world.

So incredibly proud of these awesome teams representing us at UIL STATE! The Sprockets (Noah and assistant Carson) finished 4th in state in the 1A - 3A UIL division!

What did you learn at school today??? We learned to FLY!!

These two teams did so well at the Iowa Park Invitational! Both teams have qualified for UIL State and Vex State Competitions in February. Huge thanks to all our sponsors this year who made it possible! They’re doing big things!

I just realized I never posted about our drone competition, sorry for the delay!
That day was a bit tough but I was so proud of how all three teams showed so much respect and advocated for themselves the entire day. No matter what was thrown at them, they stayed positive, worked hard, and represented Graford the right way.

Super proud of these kiddos! Noah finished SECOND overall! Joshua, Addi, and Amalia WON Skills and also received the Think Award for their autonomous score. So proud of everyone for all their hard work!

So proud of these kids today! Wow! First competition for all three teams! We ALL made it to the bracket play. Noah also earned our very first VEX trophy! 🏆 way to go Graford Robotics!

So proud of these amazing kids! We were asked by Subway to help create a marketing flyer to be used in stores all over the North Texas area. Today after voting on the winning flyer, we had two awesome managers come and present our winner, Janie, with some Subway merch and treat us all to amazing subway lunch. Thank you for trusting us with this project.
