We're excited to share our May construction update on the new Graford ISD Secondary Campus. Each month brings noticeable progress as we move closer to opening the doors to our new campus. It is exciting to see the vision become reality and watch the hard work of so many people take shape. This is an exciting time to be a Graford Jackrabbit, and we are grateful for the continued support of our community as we build for the future.

Reminder: First day of meals is tomorrow!

Free meals will be available this summer for all children under 18 and individuals with disabilities under 21. Enrollment at Graford ISD is not required.

Meals will be provided for 5 days each Tuesday on:
June 2, 9, 16, 23
(No meal service June 29–July 3)
July 7, 14, 21
🕚 Pick-Up Time: 11:00–11:30 AM
📍 Pick-Up Location: Graford Elementary Cafeteria Serving Line

Each pickup includes 5 days’ worth of breakfast and lunch at no cost. Meals will be prepared and served cold with heating and storage instructions included. Pre-orders will be accepted until 9:00 AM each Tuesday.
Children do not have to be present at pickup. However, families picking up meals without a child present must provide proof of enrollment or identifying information at the first pickup, such as:
✔️ Child’s name and age
✔️ Student ID, report card, or another form of identification
Children may receive anywhere from 1 to 5 meals each week at no cost.
Menus are subject to change without notice.

We would like to share an important update regarding our athletic department for the 2026-2027 school year.

In an effort to better serve both our male and female student-athletes, the district will be restructuring our athletic leadership model to include a Girls Athletic Coordinator and a Boys Athletic Coordinator. Please join us in congratulating Coach Lexia Lemley, who will serve as our Girls Athletic Coordinator, and Coach Bo Rickner, who will serve as our Boys Athletic Coordinator. We are confident this structure will strengthen communication, support, and opportunities for our student-athletes while continuing to build strong athletic programs at Graford ISD.

Welcome to Jackrabbit Nation, Jesus Perez! Mr. Perez comes to Graford from Cross Plains ISD and brings 22 years of experience in music education. He will serve as Graford ISD’s new band director for students in grades 5th-12th!

Mr. Perez holds a Bachelor of Music Education from Southwestern Assemblies of God University and a Master of Music Education from Tarleton State University. Throughout his career, his bands have consistently earned sweepstakes awards and achieved state recognition in the State Honor Band competition, Outstanding Performance Series Contest, and the State Marching Contest. Under his leadership, the Cross Plains band was crowned the Class 1A State Marching Champion last fall, and he was selected as the Cross Plains ISD Teacher of the Year for the 2025-2026 school year. Mr. Perez is active as an adjudicator and clinician across Texas and currently serves as the Class 1A Representative for the Association of Texas Small School Bands. He is also active in his church’s worship ministry and enjoys fishing, s***t shooting, and managing his fantasy football teams. Please help us give a warm welcome to Mr. Perez, his wife Jodi, and their two children, Gabriella and Caleb, as they join Jackrabbit Nation. We are excited to have them at Graford ISD and look forward to the impact he will make on our students and community.

Our cheerleaders are already headed off to cheer camp this week and ready to put in the work. We are excited to see them grow, learn, and represent Jackrabbit Nation. Good luck, ladies, and have a great week at camp! 🐇
