As our community continues to recover from the Ross Fire, we are thankful for the progress that has been made and are looking forward to welcoming our students and staff back tomorrow, Monday, August 31st. Graford ISD will be open, and our bus routes will run at their regular times. While there are still some road closures in our area, our buses will adjust their routes as needed to get to our students, even if that means going around another way. The only exception would be if a road closure prevents the bus from safely accessing your home.
We also understand that road closures, displacement, power outages, and other circumstances related to the fire may make getting to school more difficult for some families. Please know that we understand and will extend grace to students who may arrive late or need a little extra support as we return. If there are extenuating circumstances preventing your student from making it to school please contact your child's principal. We continue to closely monitor conditions throughout our area and are prepared to make adjustments as needed.
We want to express our sincere gratitude to the firefighters, first responders, law enforcement officers, utility crews, volunteers, and everyone who has worked tirelessly to protect our families, homes, and community. Thank you, Jackrabbit Nation, for your patience, prayers, and support during this difficult time. We continue to keep everyone affected by the Ross Fire in our thoughts and prayers.
