The Southeast Valley Seniors kicked off their first day of school with a Senior Sunrise at the football field this morning, celebrating the beginning of their last year as Jaguars. It's a tradition filled with memories, friendships, and excitement for all that's ahead.

Our Southeast Valley Farnhamville Elementary staff is all smiles and ready to welcome students back! The classrooms are prepped, the halls are shining, and we can’t wait to see our Jaguars return for another great year. 🎶 Congratulations to Southeast Valley High School Choir Director Gwen McQuaig! 🎶
McQuaig was named the 2026 Outstanding Central District Choral Educator as part of the Iowa Choral Directors Association (ICDA) Honors Initiative. She was recognized during an awards ceremony in Pella on July 21.
The award is selected by the ICDA Board, with consideration beginning through peer nominations. McQuaig was nominated by Iowa Central choir director Jacob Pedersen and Waverly-Shell Rock High School choir director Greta Nelson.
Congratulations to Mrs. McQuaig on this well-deserved honor and thank you for the positive impact you continue to make on Southeast Valley students through music education!

The Southeast Valley Jaguars take the field tonight for their annual Gatorade Scrimmage against Ogden at the Southeast Valley Athletic Complex in Gowrie!
This is your first chance to see the 2026 Jaguars in action before the regular season begins.
📅 Tonight's Schedule:
🏈 6:00 PM – Pregame Warmups
🏈 6:30 PM – Varsity 7-on-7 (JV & JVR on opposite field)
🏈 7:00 PM – Varsity Scrimmage
🏈 7:20 PM – JV Scrimmage
🏈 7:40 PM – JVR Scrimmage
🎟 Admission: Is Gatorade to be collected by the Southeast Valley Cheerleaders for use during away games this season.
Come out, support the Jaguars and Cheerleaders, and help kick off another exciting football season in Southeast Valley!

A big thank you to Southeast Valley School Board Member Alan Wicklein and The Gowrie News for treating the Southeast Valley Football Team to a watermelon feed after practice tonight! 🍉🏈
The cool watermelon was a perfect way for our athletes to refuel and beat the heat after a hard day of work on the field. We appreciate your continued support of our students and athletic programs. Thank you for helping keep our Jaguars going strong!
